Poignant;
Shadows. As
they attach themselves
to the
wallpaper of my memory –
Leaving
endless trails
Of
betrayal.
Breaking;
Surfaces. While
the façade dissolves
into dense
pieces –
Deserting
the exposure
Of me.
Missing;
The beat.
Ruling once a chest,
now
drowning in fear –
Since the ashes
of the wars
Are
flaming.
Finding;
The sun. Being
long concealed
behind
skies of depression –
Allowing again
the rosebuds
to
glow.
Granting;
My heart.
With the promise
to love it profoundly.
Letting it beat
– again – to the rhythm
Of yours.
Yield;
me. As I
remove the masquerade
and bare my
hollow shield –
Fearing yet
the burning of
this love
--
the curse
which is my
passion.
