I search for your smile, in
the crowded streets
tonight.
While raindrops soak
the wretched clothes I wore
at your funeral.
Twilight creeps nearer.
The darkness searches for
a hiding place,
while shadowy creatures creak
in every corner
of my mind.
The rainbow being long gone.
A skyfall with velvet drops
of glass -
shattering into millions
when they touch upon
the pavement.
Admiring the wet embrace,
as it conceals any sign
of grief.
And simultaneously
Shuts me out from
my inner demons.
Feeling the electricity turning
inside the body, which once
was mine.
And being forced to remember
the whispers in my ear – the caresses
of my naked neck.
Sensing you near me
as when we made love
on the hardwood floor.
Evolving into an extension of
your soul - even
your heart.
Being the puzzle piece, I
remain in place. I remain in the
rain.
For now.
Well knowing; that you will search
and find
me
Being perfectly perfect
For you.
